Return and disposal

Information on the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)

After use, electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of in unsorted municipal waste (household waste), and must instead be collected separately. End-of-life equipment may contain substances that are harmful to the environment and human health.

Disposal of electrical and electronic equipment

The crossed-out garbage can symbol means that you are legally obliged to dispose of this equipment separately from unsorted municipal waste. Disposal via the residual waste garbage can is prohibited. If the products contain batteries or rechargeable batteries that are not permanently installed, these must be removed before disposal and disposed of separately as batteries.

Options for returning end-of-life equipment – for XENTRY Diagnosis systems, please request return shipment documents as described.

Owners of end-of-life equipment can return them to:

MBUSA - QEC

13470 International Parkway, Unit 3

Door 70 - XENTRY/UHD

Jacksonville, FL 32218

Furthermore, you should return defective (based on approved XSS ticket) or end-of-lease XENTRY Pad/Pad2, VCI, scope module, and carrying cases. Do not return accessories such as cables, power adapters, clamps, or sensors.

For more detailed information, please see the helpful guide here.

Data protection

We would like to point out to all end users of waste electrical and electronic equipment that you are responsible for deleting personal data on the end-of-life equipment being disposed of.

Information on the Battery Act (BattG)

Identification

The symbol of the "crossed-out garbage can" indicates that batteries and rechargeable batteries (together: used batteries) must not be disposed of in unsorted municipal waste (household waste) after use.

Hazard potential

Batteries may contain substances that are harmful to the environment and human health. Caution is advised when handling batteries containing lithium due to the particular risks involved. The separate collection and recycling of end-of-life batteries and rechargeable batteries is intended to avoid negative effects on the environment and human health. Batteries and rechargeable batteries contained in electrical equipment that can be removed without destruction must be disposed of separately from it.

The end user of batteries and rechargeable batteries is obliged to return used batteries to designated collection points. After use, you can return used batteries to a municipal collection point or to your local retailer. Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as containing harmful substances. Batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury (Hg), more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium (Cd) or more than 0.004 mass percent lead (Pb) are marked with the respective chemical symbols of the metals (Hg, Cd, Pb) for which the aforementioned limit value is exceeded.

Where possible, avoid waste generation from used batteries. Please make sure you choose rechargeable batteries or batteries with a longer service life. Avoid littering public spaces by disposing of batteries correctly instead of carelessly leaving them lying around. Please check the possibilities for reusing batteries instead of disposing them, for example by reconditioning or repairing the battery.
